Teec Nos Pos Textile, Vintage

Development of simple geometrics accelerated in Navajo Dine’ weavings after 1900. Teec Nos Pos trading area is notable for geometrics, this being an early specimen.

The white ground is typical of a small textile, woven for the collector market. This one remains in fairly good condition for age. Appears to have little or light wear, only father time shows his hand in its condition. Nice patina.

Measures 38″ x 25″, strong heavy yarn and wool warp.
