Rare is a word I seldom use. Over fifty years in the Native American it eventually becomes apparent what is rare and what is scarce. This set is rare.
Miniature pottery collection of fourteen polychrome jars by Margaret & Luther Gutierrez of Santa Clara Pueblo. Collected individually over years. M/L were Matriarch level potters, creating generational pottery.
Polychrome is multiple colors on a single vessel, adding verve and vitality. Colors are made from mineral recipes, sometimes secret. M/L inherited these secrets and forged a lifetime of award winning pottery. This set accumulated over a thirty-five year period. Museum grade collectible.
Set is in excellent to mint condition. And is the only self its kind. Rare.
