Surprising gemstones occasionally appear in Fred Harvey Jewelry. During my ten years harvesting surviving bracelets, an occasional top grade gem will appear, # 8 and Blue Gem. It seems that ANY turquoise looking gem could have been set in manufactured specimen. And hand made models often contained especially fine gemstones.
This bracelet is a prime example, hosting a GEM SILICA of extra fine quality. An estimated 30 carat gem, when set, Gem Silica was “just another” setting. Whereas, today we recognize Arizona Gem Silica as scarce, desirable and collectible.
The silver work appears to be entirely hand made, with the Arrow symbol that effortlessly drifted between both manufactured and handmade Indian Jewelry.
From my personal collection. Fred Harvey gemstone jewelry at its best . . . Medium plus size. Excellent condition.
