A gorgeous turquoise bracelet by Ramon and Louise Platero. Descendent of an original Navajo silvermith, 1860s, Ramon is famous. Following WWII, he brought forth the “leaf” motif and accented that with silver accouterments unique to his day. His silversmith was typically strong and massive, with large stones. These turquoise are from Lunch Bucket variety of MORENCI natural, circa Sixties. Wife Louise was a similarly skilled silversmith and the both of them worked side by side, often on the same piece, such as this.
